2BE1-101: capacity, drive options and parts
What is the capacity of the 2BE1-101?
The 2BE1-101 moves 168 m³/h at 1,450 rpm on direct drive with a 5.5 kW four-pole motor. On V-belt drive the same frame gives 152 m³/h at 1,300 rpm (5.5 kW motor) or 202 m³/h at 1,750 rpm (7.5 kW motor); the shaft power absorbed in the three cases is 4.2, 3.5 and 5.8 kW. All three configurations are rated to 33 mbar abs, the vacuum limit Gardner Denver Nash also gives for the 2BE1 family.
Why is the 2BE1-101 listed with two motor sizes?
The 2BE1-101 is listed with 5.5 kW and 7.5 kW motors because V-belt drive lets it run faster or slower than the four-pole motor: at 1,750 rpm it needs the 7.5 kW motor for 202 m³/h, while at 1,300 rpm a 5.5 kW motor covers 152 m³/h. If you are replacing an existing 2BE1-101, note the drive type and pump speed from the nameplate or the installation, because the motor size follows from them.
Which shaft seal does a 2BE1-101 have?
A 2BE1-101 can have gland packing or a mechanical seal: Gardner Denver Nash lists a stuffing box as standard on the 2BE1 and single- or double-acting mechanical seals on request, so check your pump before ordering. In our parts list for the 2BE1-101, gland packing has a typical interval of 6–12 months and a mechanical seal 1–2 years; the impeller (2–5 years) and port plate (2–4 years) are the other main wear parts. Send the serial number or a nameplate photo and we confirm each part against the original drawing.
Where does the 2BE1-101 sit in the 2BE1 range?
The 2BE1-101 is the smallest frame in our 2BE1 table, which runs from the 2BE1-101 to the 2BE1-705; Gardner Denver Nash describes the 2BE1 as a flat-sided liquid ring design built in 23 models. The next size up, the 2BE1-102, gives 246 m³/h at 1,450 rpm with a 7.5 kW motor.

What you get with the quotation
Tell us the duty point (capacity, suction pressure, seal-liquid temperature) and we return, normally within one working day:
- Performance curve — capacity against suction pressure at your seal-liquid temperature — not a catalogue figure
- Dimensional outline drawing — flanges, bolt pattern, shaft height, so you can check the fit before ordering
- Material specification — wetted-part materials for your gas and liquid, with certificates on delivery
- Utility figures — seal-liquid flow and motor rating, for sizing the supply and the starter
If the drawing does not match your original, we say so and do not quote.
